It all started with a feeling. One of excitement and imagined possibilities. The unanswered question was, ‘How can we create happy inspiring spaces with European Aesthetics and functionality”
We needed a brilliant designer who would facilitate real collaboration blending our needs and ideas with their expertise and creativity.
Enter Margot with her passion for design, strong business knowledge and expertise in project management. We found her at Modern Nova where she had honed her skills in orchestrating successful projects to completion.
Margot’s proficiency in 3D modelling and visualisation provided clarity and confidence as well as saving time. She was patient with my need to ‘see’ from different angles. Without hesitation, Margot would manipulate her 3D renders to give me a clear view of a particular detail. This not only gave me clarity, but demonstrated how Margot’s thoughtfulness and meticulous planning had considered every magical detail and every angle of the design.
After we finalised the design process together, Margot managed the manufacture of the cabinetry and oversaw the organisation of all the other trades up to installation. In this way, she ensured the design intent we had perfected during conceptualisation shone through my completed Europe-inspired Kitchen, Pantry and Laundry.
Margot expanded what was possible, importantly hitting the mark on budget and lifestyle. She continues to be a valued partner in our ongoing projects and her responsiveness and happy personality are as inspiring as her creativity.

We worked with Margot when she was employed at Modern Nova; we were getting ready to build our new kitchen.
We had many interactions with Margot along the way; she was pivotal in the communications and design and we found her to be very professional and experienced.
She was an absolute pleasure to work with as her enthusiasm was infectious and her communications skills were perfect. She was easy to talk with and she would explain the design and then show us on the CAD screen so we could get a real feel for the concept in a 3D image.
She was receptive to new ideas or a change of mind and if we came up with an idea, she would test it in her CAD drawings to see if it would work and how it would look. We would then all agree to move forward or not with that idea. It was a very interactive and inclusive process and made the project exciting and fun to do.

Margot worked hard on many different design options and with many different ideas I initially had in my head. She made it very clear when things were unlikely to work but still laid it all out in 3D drawings for us to see for ourselves that it wouldn’t work. Margot helped us optimise our space and connected us with various trades to help in the renovation process too. As a result our entire house was renovated and Margot assisted with the design of the cabinetry in our ensuite and laundry. Margot was professional and responsive throughout the whole process, despite all my constant changes and queries.
